Position the engine gas recirculation (EGR) coolant hose aside for access. |

Position an absorbent cloth to collect fluid spillage. |

Disconnect the electrical connector. |
|
Remove the sensor and discard the seal. |

| . | Disconnect the battery ground cable. |
| . | Remove the throttle body. |
| . | Remove the ECT sensor.

| . | To install, reverse the removal procedure.
|
| . | Tighten the ECT sensor to 18 Nm (13 lb.ft). |
| . | Top-up the coolant. |
